Akiode’s Hope 4 Girls Basketball Camp Begins Aug. 6

The yearly Hope 4 Girls b-ball camp set up together by a previous Nigeria global, Mobolaji Akiode, will take the jump ball on August 6 at the Nigeria Institute for Sports Gymnasium inside the National Stadium, Lagos. 

As indicated by the Athens Olympics 2004 player, the camp is adapted towards "giving the young lady kid a feeling of having a place and a chance to express their ability as they move forward in the sport of b-ball." 

The current year's camp which is the sixth in the arrangement will have the vicinity of Quint Clarke of the celebrated Blair Academy, USA, the coordinator said. Clarke is not new to Africa as his Blair Academy has been in Kenya for quite a while. He is known for his pizazz with young ladies and has been in charge of drilling numerous top secondary school players as of now holidaying in Nigeria. He will be especially in charge of the guiding of Felicia Ayeitan. 

Evelyn Akator, as of now with the University of Kentucky and a recipient of the Hope 4 Girls camp will likewise be joining in offering back to the young ladies at home. 

Akiode, while anticipating the camp has communicated her appreciation to the President of FIBA Africa Zone 3, Col Sam Ahmedu (retd) and the General Manager of the Toronto Raptors in the NBA, Masai Ujiri, for their backing in maintaining the camp throughout the years.
